Below is a list of people who are responsible for running the Village of Wayne. Many of these people are appointed by the President and approved by the Board of Trustees for four year terms. If you would like to apply to work on a Commission or any other appointed position, please complete the application that can be found in the Village Documents section of this website. You can email the application to the Village Clerk.
These positions are elected the first Tuesday in April on odd number years

Trustee and Chairperson of the Public Safety and Finance Committees
Trustee and Chairperson of the Development/Historic and Rural Preservation Committee
Trustee and Chairperson of the Technology Committee
Trustee and Chairperson of the Public Works Committee
Trustee and Chairperson of the Administration and Parks Committees
Trustee and Chairperson of the Building and Zoning Committee
These positions are appointed to one year terms
Treasurer
Chief of Police
Village Clerk
Village Attorney
Chairperson of the Plan Commission
Chairperson of the Park Commission
Chairperson of the Historic Sites Commission
Chairperson of the Zoning Board of Appeals
This Commission is responsible for the maintenance and use of Wayne owned parks

This Commission is responsible for creating and maintaining village ordinances
This Commission is responsible for issuing Certificates of Appropriateness for the maintenance of structures in the Historic Districts
This Commission is responsible for approving or denying variances
