November 21, 2023 - Purchase of the Parilli Building has been completed. There is no space in the building as it is currently designed to support board meetings. Williams Architect has been contacted to address accessibility issues and to create a design that supports a board room, administrative offices and a police department. Cost and use of the building needs to be evaluated. The reason the building was purchased is because a law firm was interested in purchasing the building and the police department would have had no facilities. Building is currently insured for $1M. Pete suggested moving the file cabinets from the second floor of Village Hall to the old police department in order to alleviate the stress on the second floor due to weight. There is a concern about increased attendance at board meetings and the safety of those that attend due to the weight restrictions of the second floor.
